- The Beginning-Day 45
I started my affiliate marketing journey 45 days ago with a course that teaches you mindset, a new lifestyle, and the basics of affiliate marketing. A lot of my journey has been getting over the fear of being out there in the world as an Affiliate Marketer. I have been at the same company for the past 15 plus years, so this is going to take some getting used to. Here are some of the steps I have taken to get started. Course - Entre Institute. This taught me how to use social media to gain an organic following through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. I have yet to set up my YouTube page though simply because my e-mail has to be active for 30 days prior to setting it up. However, I do have content already made and ready to be uploaded to YouTube once I qualify. I have set up my LLC, e-mail support, and sales funnels set up using EntreSoft Software. The software helped me build everything from the initial sales funnel using their templates to my e-mail marketing strategy. Currently I am an affiliate marketer with Entre Institute because I really do believe in the amount of detail and value the course delivers. There are so many products and courses out there that from my experience do not deliver - Yes, I have tried a few. I want to make sure anything that I promote is something that I have already bought for myself and tried. I know that kind of puts me in a bind when it comes to what product to offer. However, I think it also puts me in a unique position because I only offer what I believe in. I also post on social media on a daily basis and try to be as consistent with it as possible. My goal is to spend the weekends creating the content and then focus on publishing it throughout the week. It has been recommended to post four times a day. I am at one to two times a day at this moment. Overall, it feels like a slow start. From what I hear most people quit because they do not get immediate results and the other issue is that the results that a lot of people post about are usually a fluke or inaccurate. Which is another reason for this blog. I want to give everyone what the real experience is like. My goal is to post on this blog weekly to give updates - SO, that's all for now folks, tune in later as I give updates.
- Social Media - Here I Come!
I Literally have 2 followers, I post content at least twice a day, and it isn't going anywhere! First, let's take a step back. What is the content you are posting? I could do an entire blog on this topic. For simplicity's sake you should be looking at other people in your niche, see what they are posting, and find a way to emulate them. This way you know you are posting valuable content that is already proven by the amount of traffic it receives. Now I am not saying to COPY them to a "T", you don't want to do that. However, you want to look at different techniques they use. Is it all music? Is there text? What topics are being talked about in the comments. Are there any issues discussed in the comments that are worth addressing in your post? Look at the angle of the camera, the background, and even the lighting. What Hashtags are being used? Is there a good "hook". What is a hook? I am glad you asked. It is that 3-5 second window of where you catch the viewer's attention. Take a look at several viral videos in your niche and see if you can identify the "hook". It's a good practice to do this often so that you stay up to date with what the social media platform defines as "Good Content". Doing this consistently over time will help you grow your following and get your content to your customers. It takes time to get a good organic following so just keep at it and focus on the different kinds of content and not the numbers for a while. Once you have data, go back and see what performs well. Then start improving on those types of posts.
- Thank You
If you made it to this post, bless your heart. This is my first blog post so please be patient. In this post I want to take time to thank and show gratitude to those who are helping me on my path. I have an amazing family who supports me each day and brings joy to my life. My husband, Collin, who does an amazing job at being an adult. My Children; Avery, Graci, Logan, and Tristan who know just what to say to lift my spirits. My mentor and business partner who has helped me grow new skillsets to succeed in my physical, personal, financial, and my life's purpose. I also want to thank the corporate company I work for (who shall remain nameless) for the past 15 plus years. They supported me through good times and bad and played their part in my growth and development. They also made life so stressful that I found it necessary for a change to take care of my health, for which I am grateful. Without that adversity I would still be sitting in the cubical daily not knowing where my life was headed. Finally, I would like to thank all of you who made it this far in the post and are looking forward to joining me on my journey to financial freedom. I promise... it will get better from here.
